Nothing beats a nice, leisurely breakfast in mid-town. Whether you’re eating off last night’s fun or just want a chill way to start your day, these restaurants are the best places to hit..

Orphan Breakfast House
3440 C St. – The owners of the Naked Coffee Co. have once again created a place for us to kick back and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Orphan Breakfast House claims to hold the distinction of being the only “breakfast only” place in Sacramento. While we’ve never actually researched the validity of this claim, we are sure there’s no need to look any further for the best anytime-breakfast in Sac. The menu offers plenty of options for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Although they don’t have ketchup for your potatoes, they do offer salsa with a smile.

Fox & Goose
1001 R St. – Fox & Goose Public House offers breakfast 7 days a week, and if you have the chance we recommend checking it out on a weekday. On the weekends the wait is long but the free coffee while you wait flows generously. The olallieberry scone with Devonshire cream is delicious, and the pub grill menu offers a one-two punch to the taste buds. There are also a few vegetarian options here and a choice of traditional or specialty mimosas (with a lil’ apple juice).

Tower Café
1518 Broadway – Tower has quite a local breakfast following. Their staff is friendly and the French toast is legendary. On weekends with pleasant weather, the beautiful patio is worth the long wait. Especially when you grab a Bloody Mary, sangria or mimosa and relax in the courtyard bordering the pretty Tower Theatre.
